Recipe Friday – Puppy Peanut Butter Balls (No Bake)
A healthy and yummy treat that your puppies are sure to love, and best of all, they are only three ingredients, and no baking involved!
- 1/2 cup low fat milk
- 1 cup peanut butter (organic peanut butter is best)
- 3 cups rolled oats (you can buy gluten free rolled oats)
Combine milk and peanut butter in a mixer until a paste forms. Add oats 1/4 to 1/2 cup at a time. This helps the oats distribute evenly through the mixture. The mixture will be dense.
Spoon out and roll into bite-sized balls. Place on a lined cookie sheet (wax or parchment paper.) 5. Let sit in fridge for one hour.
The mixture can be sticky, so use a gentle pressure when rolling into balls. If you use too much pressure, the mixture can crumble. For dogs with allergies, milk can be substituted with other dairy free products. This recipe makes about 25-30 treats and can last up to two weeks stored in the fridge. Feed in moderation. Some dogs will get good use out of these because they will add weight to dogs that are lacking.
