Dog Food Reviews – Cat Food Reviews What Food Is Best?
After the recent recalls of Pedigree dog food and the long battle with Diamond dog food, I have recently taken a second look at what I am feeding Isis and Sasha. Could I do better in feeding them something healthier?
Well, one place to check out is the Dog Food Reviews. This gives a comprehensive list and breaks down the ingredients of each dog food and lets you know if you are basically feeding your dog junk food, or if you are giving them the nutrients they need to stay healthy. The better the food we feed our furbabies, the healthier they will be and the better lives they will live. All you have to do is type in the name of the food you are feeding your dog into the search bar on the site, and it will give you the link to the review and how many stars the food receives. 1 star is horrible and five stars is rated best food to give your dogs. You can check out dry dog food and wet dog food as well as raw food, if you feed your dog a raw food diet.
This is the same with cats. If we feed them junkfood, they will produce junk, thus not being healthy and leaving them (as well as dogs) susceptible to many health conditions, shorter lives, and who knows what else.
There are a few cat food review websites. This one takes ingredients and discusses all types of food for cats.
This one has a rating for well known cat food, wet and dry, that cats can eat.
In taking a look at all these options, and since Wellness food for dogs was recalled, we have switched Sasha to Orjen food. It is one of the best out there and the ingredients and nutrients are what she needs. I do not want to feed her something that is junkfood, or that could potentially kill her. Let’s hope that all these recalls get straightened out soon, so that we don;’t have to keep switching. Remember, if you do switch your dog to a different food, do it gradually, 1/4 of the new food to 3/4 of the old food, then progress to half new food, half old food, then 3/4 new food to 1/4 old food, until you are feeding 100% new food.
I hope this has helped those who are looking for a new food to feed their pets after these recalls, or if you are looking for a more nutritious meal for your fur baby.
